When I was eight years old, I knew I wanted to join the Army. I have my stepdad to thank for showing me the life of a Soldier when I used to clean tanks and other Army equipment after training exercises in the summer. I also did other mundane tasks to keep me entertained during the summer, but I enjoyed it as a bright eyed eight-year-old boy who didn’t know any better. In 1999, I was married and joined the Army and shipped out to basic training. As others thought basic training was hell, I was the one with the smile on my face because this is where I wanted to be, serving my country that I love. After basic training, I was stationed in Germany for five years and loved every moment of it. I visited places that you’ve only seen in history books. It was amazing! I was deployed to Iraq in 2003, and boy, was that an experience I’ll never forget. I was then reassigned to recruiting duty in my hometown, Reno, NV. Due to medical reasons, I was discharged from the Army. Still wanting to serve my country and community, I became a Notary Public in 2018.

I enjoy interacting with so many different people and listening to their life stories. From a widow who used to live on Alcatraz Island, to a married couple who saved money to buy their first home. Every client is different. As the famous philosopher Forrest Gump said, “Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
